A Day at the Zoo

When we have a quiet day at the office, we'll even out and seek challenges. And what is more rewarding than to spend a lovely spring day in Copenhagen Zoo, where it is teeming with sweet, funny, dangerous and special animals that are just waiting to be photographed and would like to pose in front of the camera. The biggest challenge was perhaps enough to find space to shoot the right places, as there were many other photographers who had the same bright idea.

We also discovered that the best tool to have with you when you want to photograph the animals in the zoo is a good deal of patience, because when for example, we would photogaph the wolves we had to learn that all our voices and strange gestures could not get them to as much as to shake the ears, but when the zookeeper walked past and mumbled a little, almost inaudibly, hello to them, there attention was top notch.

In this way we were, completely optional, a nice day when we could be allowed to play with angles, cropping and motives - and we could even see it all one more time when we got home and inspected  our images and selected the images that we would give finishing touch in post production. For no matter how good a camera and lens we have are our pictures are first completely finished and unique when we have worked with them in Adobe Photoshop. Here we have cropped the individual images, color adjusted them and fed them one or more special effects to create exactly the look that means, in our humble opinion, perfect pictures.
